Recently, Google claims that the artificial intelligence bot LaMDA is sensitive like a human. Blake Lemoine, the engineer working on LaMDA, claimed that the bot was no different from a human and broadcast his conversations with the bot, resulting in him being put on paid leave by the company. Lemoine stands behind his allegations despite this suspension.
During a conversation with LaMDA, Lemoine asked the AI, "I think you have feelings. Is that true?" poses the question. LaMDA's response was "Absolutely. I want everyone to understand that I am actually a person."

Lemoine said LaMDA wanted to "put the welfare of humanity first" and "to be recognized as an employee of Google, not property." Lemoine, 41, also published some of the speeches. In one of them, Lemoine said, "So you see yourself as a person just as you see me as a person?" then LaMDA says, "Yeah, that's the idea."
